Janice Goodwin was born in Alabama and moved to Nashville as a teenager. She attended both Lipscomb Academy and Lipscomb University, graduating from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Janice currently lives in Brentwood with her husband, George, of 35 years. She has a son, Coleman and two dogs, Jake and Gunner.

Janice began her work career in public accounting as a CPA. After her time in public accounting, she served in various corporate positions such as controller, CFO, VP, and board member of several healthcare and construction companies in Nashville.

During her career, she was on the board of the Construction Financial Management Association, and served as President. She was also selected as the Tennessee Young Careerist by the Professional Women of America and represented Tennessee at the National Convention.

Janice decided 21 years ago to retire from the corporate world and to focus on her family and other interests. She was the PTO President for Lipscomb Academy several times as well as serving on the Parent Association Board at Ensworth for 4 years. When Coleman attended Lipscomb University, she assisted with the fundraising and planning of the Lipscomb University Baseball Golf Tournament as well as the First Pitch Dinner and Auction.

Her family worships at Brentwood Hills Church of Christ. As a member, she's been involved by teaching classes, mentoring young mothers through the Heart Sisters program and participated in the Women’s ministry.

Janice is honored and looking forward to serving NAHT. This organization is truly changing lives by getting victims off the streets, providing the support for these women to seek the help that they need to break this horrible abuse and teaching these victims about the redemption through Jesus Christ.
