NAHT is regularly on the ground in local recovery communities and in an area known to be one of Nashville's human trafficking hubs, working to build relationships, identify potential trafficking victims, and to inspire hope that true and lasting freedom and change IS possible.
NAHT's trained intervention teams meet victims right where they are and partner with other community organizations to provide relational support to victims in active prostitution and addiction.
Once victims believe they CAN leave and begin their journey to sobriety, NAHT is there to encourage them as they select and enter detox and rehabilitation programs uniquely designed for them. Upon program completion, NAHT helps them find and become established in a sober living and/or trauma-informed housing community.
Engagement opportunities for volunteers include serving weekly at a community meal and volunteering for other community-building events such as Medical-Dental days and holiday celebrations.
